Limosa is a mobile application that helps users track and manage bird sightings, connect with other birdwatchers, and explore an extensive database of bird species.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Limosa, you confirm that you:
✅ Are at least 13 years old or have parental permission.
✅ Will comply with these Terms & Conditions.
✅ Accept that we may update these terms from time to time.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the service.

3. User Accounts

🔹 Account Creation – You must create an account to access Limosa’s features. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
🔹 Security – You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your password.
🔹 Account Suspension/Termination – We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms.
• You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.
• We are required to do so by law.

If your account is terminated, you may lose access to all saved data and sightings.

4. Acceptable Use

By using Limosa, you agree not to:
❌ Post false or misleading information.
❌ Upload copyrighted or illegal content without permission.
❌ Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
❌ Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the app.
❌ Attempt to hack or disrupt our services.

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or legal action.

5. Data Privacy

🔹 Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (Read here).
🔹 You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, and deletion requests.
🔹 We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Community & Multiplayer Mode

Limosa offers community and multiplayer features, including:

• Shared bird sightings
• Comments and interactions with other users

By using these features, you agree to respect other users. We are not responsible for user-generated content.

We reserve the right to remove content that is offensive, illegal, or violates our guidelines.

7. Intellectual Property

🔹 Ownership – Limosa and its content (logos, database, software) are owned by Limosa Software.
🔹 User Content – You own your sightings and uploaded photos, but grant us a non-exclusive license to display them within the app.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute Limosa’s content without permission.

8. Availability & Updates

🔹 We strive to keep Limosa available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
🔹 We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
🔹 If Limosa is temporarily unavailable, we are not liable for any loss of data.

9. Limitation of Liability

⚠️ Use Limosa at your own risk. We are not responsible for:

• Errors, bugs, or app downtime.
• Loss of data or sightings.
• Incorrect bird identification or misinterpretation of data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Limosa Software shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of our app.

10. Payments & Subscriptions

If Limosa offers premium features, additional terms will apply:
🔹 Payments are handled through App Store and Google Play.
🔹 Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled.
🔹 No refunds are issued unless required by law.

11. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Limosa at any time. If we decide to stop the service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

📌 These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
📌 Any disputes must be resolved in a Dutch court unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws.
